The Richard Whiteley Pavilion

The Richard Whiteley Pavilion hosts "SPEAKERS CORNER" and the bandstand.  It is equipped with chairs for weary feet, and is used throughout the day for demonstrations and entertaining talks between listening to the delightful music of Brass  and Jazz Bands.

Author and fishing expert, John Aston will be talking of his passion and discussing his new book, titled "A Dream of Jewelled Fishes" 

He will sign copies of his book after his talk 

Sun  4 May 2008 At 2:00pm Author, broadcaster and raconteur,  Gervaise Phinn is hugely entertaining with his anecdotes of "what kids say" gleaned from his career as a teacher and schools inspector.  His experiences led to his hugely successful "The Other Side of the Dale" and subsequent series.  After his talk he will sign copies of his books.
Mon 5 May 2008 At 2:00pm Lesley Wild, a director of Bettys and head of their Cookery School will speak and answer  questions about her family business and recently published book:

"A year of Family Recipes"
