Welcome to the Dales Festival of Food and Drink

Supported by

Our 2009 Festival was a great success - and we feel 2010 will be even better!

Upwards of 14,000 visitors had a great time over the holiday weekend, the traders and exhibitors had a bumper show. The weather was kind, despite a nip in the air on Monday, and Sunday was frantically busy, at one point visitors almost completely filling the large car parks. Sufficient funds were generated to promise a significant addition to the Community Fund and 13 community groups in Wensleydale have so far benefited from the proceeds!

Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire Gary Verity says, "Not only is The Dales Festival of Food and Drink a fun day out for the family, it also educates and informs people about how we can support local suppliers. It allows us to taste, smell, and see local food and to celebrate our fantastic Dales produce. This event brings the whole of the Yorkshire Dales together and visitors can experience the warmth of the Dales community firsthand."
